We know that many of you have your cars filled with paper and are ready to drop it off somewhere to be shred. Various shred companies, including Shred Northwest, have partnered with responsible and remote locations where you can “drop off” your paper to be shred later by a commercial/professional shred company. While “drop off” shredding is convenient, it also has some risks you need to be aware of when you make your choice.
Leaving behind your confidential material at a 3rd party “drop off site” means that non NAID AAA Certified personnel could potentially have access to it before Shred Northwest comes to destroy it. Leaving confidential material at a drop off location means it could sit for a number of unknown days until they have enough shreddable materials that they contact their shred provider. We are required to inform you that using one of our partner drop off services is not NAID AAA Certified under the endorsements of Shred Northwest.
